Werks Media Policies and Guidelines

This page lists some general policies regarding project and website development. In order to ensure the best service possible, we have put together a list of things that you can have ready to assist us in completing your project promptly. A listing of Werks Media's policies and business procedures are also outlined on this page to help you get the most out of our services.

Client Supplied Information and Materials

These are the things that the client is responsible for supplying to us in order to complete a project in a timely manner.

1. All of the necessary pictures, graphics, and high resolution logo files needed to complete the project must be supplied by the client. The files needed are dependent on each project and can vary somewhat. This excludes files that are part of the work that has been contracted to be done.



2. Ad copy and text for the advertising media or website pages must be supplied by the client unless you have opted to use our copy writing services. We have award winning writers on staff to help you create professional content if needed.



3. All necessary usernames and passwords if we will be working on pre-exisitng projects, so that we have access to the files or accounts needed for completing your project. We can assist you in gathering this information in some cases.

If the above mentioned items can not be provided by the project's start date we will not be able to complete your project by the stated deadline.

Werks Media Design Policies

Payment Policy

Unless other arrangements are made in writing between both parties, all projects at Werks Media Studios require 25% deposit prior to their initiation, 25% at the projects mid-point, and the remaining due upon completion. Werks Media is the sole owner of all of the project's materials created by Werks Media until payment is received in full. Full payment is due upon project completion, and must be made by cheque or cash. Payment also may be made by credit card via PayPal with an additional surcharge of 3%. All prices are listed in US currency.

Development Policy

Werks Media reserves the right not to accept projects that promote racism, pornography, or anything that is of objectionable contents.

Websites created by Werks Media must have the statement "Website designed by Werks Media" placed at the bottom of the homepage.

Werks Media reserves the right to include in our portfolio any projects created or developed by us.

Limitation of Liability

Werks Media will not be liable for indirect, special or consequential damages, or any loss of revenue or profits, arising in connection with the projects that we developed.

Werks Media reserves the right to delay or stop any project development for any reason without liability. Werks Media will notify the client immediately of any changes in project development status, and make appropriate arrangements. If a stoppage in development is caused by Werks Media, the client will be refunded the deposit minus any billable hours.

Werks Media is not responsible for hosting company / internet service provider / domain name registrar / or other outside agencies issues, damage, downtime, email problems, website hacks and other security issues or any part thereof. These services are independent and not related to Werks Media services offered.

Project Contents

All digital and non-digital materials supplied by the client to Werks Media for project development must be, either owned by the client or given copyright permission for publication. Werks Media is not responsible for copyright infringements found on materials supplied by the client.

Cancellation of Project Development

A request to cancel project must be made in writing to Werks Media and include the signature of the authoritative client. Werks Media will charge for the number of hours accumulated in project development before the cancellation request is made.

Pause in Project Development

A request to pause project development must be made in writing to Werks Media and include the signature of the authoritative client. The delay will not exceed a period of 30 days. Unless other arrangements are made between both parties. Werks Media will assume any delay requested by the client that exceeds the 30-day period a cancellation.
